Depression / Low Moods  Suicidal Thoughts

Depression is more than feeling low, discontented or weary for few days. A lot of people go through times of feeling down, but when you are depressed you feel continuously sad for week or months, rather than days.

Anxiety / Generalised Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe. Almost everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life, i.e. you might feel anxious about a job interview, making important decisions or worrying about things that we can't control.

When we have healthy self-esteem, we tend to feel positive about ourselves an about life in general. It makes up better able to deal with life's challenges. When our self-esteem is low, we tend to see ourselves and our life in a more negative and critical light.

Addictions

Addiction is specified as not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point that it could be harmful to you and your family. You can become addicted to almost anything, not only alcohol, drugs, gambling or nicotine, but also to work, internet, solvents or... shopping.

Personality Disorders

A person with a personality disorder thinks, feels, behaves or relates to others very differently from the average person. Symptoms vary depending on the type of personality disorder. The most common personality disorders are: (Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Antisocial Personality Disorder.

Often when people experience or appear to show anger, it’s because they are also feeling fear or perceive a threat, and they are responding with a 'fight' response to this.

It is a collaborative process between a therapist and a person in treatment. Usual goals of therapy may be to inspire change or increase quality of life. People might request therapy for help with personal, social, educational or professional challenges that are difficult to face alone.

 

 

 

COUPLES THERAPY


  £100 per session  

 

In couples counselling clients enter a caring and encouraging environment to help them find their own way through any problems they might be experiencing in their relationship. Some people might use those sessions to transform their relationships and their lives; others might find this process helpful in solving specific problems and moving forward with more confidence and less anxiety.

 

FAMILY THERAPY


 £100 per session 

 

Family therapy can help your family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Family therapy can help you improve troubled relationships with your partner, children or other family members. You may address specific issues such as marital or financial problems, conflict between parents and children, or the impact of substance abuse or a mental illness on the entire family.

 

 

 

GROUP THERAPY


 £60 per session 

Group therapy is a kind of psychological therapy that takes place with a group of people together rather than with an individual during a one-to-one session.

Having therapy in a group environment can have many benefits as it offers a support network and provides the opportunity to meet others experiencing similar concerns.

Together with the therapist and the other group members you should be encouraged to share your experiences and work on understanding yourself better. 

TELEPHONE /ONLINE COUNSELLING

From £90 per session 

Occasionally, when you are not able to attend your regular session, other options are available

You can speak to me on the phone or we can connect online (real-time chat or video conferencing) to continue with your treatment.

Online/telephone counselling I offer is only being used in conjunction with your regular face-to-face therapy.

 

 

 

 

 

YOUNG PEOPLE COUNSELLING

  £90 per session  

 

In counselling,  young people are encouraged to talk through feelings and solve problems. Therapy can help young people deal with issues and events and the effects they are having on their mental wellbeing. Counselling might be recommended for young people who are basically healthy but who are struggling with mental health problems, such as depression, anger, anxiety, relationships, low self-esteem, and self-harm.
